ANFD 2025: Strengthening Partnerships and Insights

Published: November 11, 2025

What a wonderful few days at ANFD in Orange, NSW. From 8 AM drone set-ups to the friendly catch-ups throughout the afternoon, the teams at Rencon Air & Land and DJI D1 store walked away energised, connected and more confident than ever in the path forward.

This year also brought a special moment of recognition, with Channel 7NEWS dropping by our site Friday 24/10 to interview the team and feature our work on air. It was a great opportunity to highlight the real impact of drone technology in agriculture and forestry, and share how our services support safer and smarter land management.

Building on Local Foundations

Our NSW depot plays a key role in our operations, and ANFD delivered the perfect platform to deepen those connections. We sat down with land-owners, agritech experts and local service providers — heard their stories about gorse and capeweed, steep slopes, drone spray windows, bushfire fuel-load mapping and more — and came away with renewed respect for the impact on the ground.

It reaffirmed what we already knew: local relationships matter. The folks in Orange and across the region are not just “clients or contacts” — they are partners and highly motivated to work with us in meaningful ways. It was great to put faces to names, share insights about LiDAR mapping, thermal detection, drone-spraying and terrain-aware operations, and walk away knowing that the “boots on the ground, eyes in the sky” message resonates.

Partnering to Raise the Bar

One of the highlights was our strengthened partnership with the DJI D1 Store team. Their presence at ANFD was a real value-add: they engaged with the ag-tech space in a way that went above and beyond. They learned about the rhythm of farming, forestry and large-scale land management — and we gained from their expertise in drone platforms and technology support as well.

When our clients see a united front — Rencon Air & Land + DJI D1 — working for better outcomes (safer spraying, smarter mapping, better data) it builds trust. It is a win-win: they get more confidence in the service; we get more capacity to deliver; DJI D1 sees the real application of technology in the field.

Gratitude to the ANFD Team

And a shout-out to the ANFD staff — from the organisers and crew on-site who helped make everything run smoothly. Their professionalism, flexibility and willingness to help made our participation straightforward and effective. From setting up talking to attendees—the ANFD team made everything run smoothly.

Looking Ahead

Post-ANFD we are not slowing down. The conversations we had in Orange have sparked ideas for seasonal campaigns (pre-spring spraying, fire-risk mapping ahead of summer, winter terrain assessments). We are already following up conversations, planning site visits, and aligning our messaging for upcoming field days and expos across VIC & NSW.

If you met us at ANFD: thank you for your time, your openness and your questions. If you missed us — let’s catch up soon! We would love to chat about how drone-spraying, LiDAR and thermal solutions could make a difference for your property or operation.

Thank you to everyone who made ANFD 2025 such a success — our team, our partners, the local community, and the organisers. We look forward to next year.
